Chuckin’ Rocks Up 33,000 Feet

Attitude is everything–or is that altitude?

Is that what people refer to as “conspicuous wealth?”

Yeah, its’ conspicuous” if you’re flying a spy plane.  But you have to be flying higher than he is to spot it.

Regardless of our attitudes toward specific moneyed individuals, we fly our own attitudes toward money, “wealth,” and lifestyle.  What are your attitude?  More importantly, is that attitude gaining you money altitude?

Nobody looks at something like that and feels nothing.

T h e                                                                      Single Second Money Mind Test.  Just look at the plane and ask yourself if you would do that.  Then the revelation begins–why, or why not, precisely?  If no why?  Flamboyant?  Concern for the planet?  Or in part, fear of what others may think?  Fact.  Most millionaires are invisible.  “The Millionaire Next Door” goes a long way in explaining the distance the moneyed really live, and it’s not like that.

We mostly know it as the “inkblot test.”  The Rorschach test  purportedly reveals to therapists chewy psychic bits about the murk inside our minds.  Well–perhaps.

Ink blots are dull and dark offices with fish tanks are a soporific.  But not aircraft.  We have to stay awake to learn anything about our thinking.  Here’s’ one.  Look at the plane and be honest.  What are you really thinking?

No, the real question is not “what would other people think  if I had my handle painted in 7′ tall letters over the fuselage of a Boeing 757-200?”  CNN thumbnailed a quick air-worthy history.

Attitudes are like painted faces.  The outward results are always more obvious to others.  What are the active ingredients working your money attitudes?

Imagine that’s your plane, and your name. There’ your absolutely free money Rorschach test.

The question isn’t about presidents or airplanes or brute displays of wealth.  The question is about habitual thinking patterns.  Are yours helping, or hurting your bottom line?  It’s about money attitude.  Making money at every level is a battle.  Creating wealth is the longer term version of making money.  If it works, you’re going to know it.  So will others, depending on how you behave.

Making a living is hard.  Serious resistance often emerges.  Not everyone will love you, and the farther you go the hotter the attitudes become.  Lightening will strike.

Finding our financial way means finding our way, not that of others.  How many stories are told concerning the power of money to move people in startling ways?  Those positive, and negative, attitudes are directly hinged to the very people generating them–or simply totting them around.

Taking stock makes sense.  Checking your attitudinal inventory puts you on your money front line, where you can do some real good.  Ask someone who knows you what they believe about your money mind.  Trust us.  They see.more than you think.

Keep the attitudes that fit what you really value and dump the ones that were probably never yours to begin with.  As we’ve stated so clearly before, there will never be a shortage of people standing in line to “inform” you about how you should be living.  Fact.  The better individuals become at living their own lives the less time they spend telling others how to live.

Never worry.  You will rarely be left alone with your life decisions.  There will alwasy be a line of people to tell you what’s right, wrong, good, bad, healthy, deadly, or humane.  How lucky we are to have busy bodies.  Blood clot.

The people who have spent the thought and effort to learn how to live well do not possess either the time or will to tell others how to do it.  They do however leave hints.  Any comment coming from those living well, will be in passing, because they are moving on to the next thing.

This is what it feels like when your attitudes align with and support your values–your values, not anyone else’s.  A house divided is a unit in chaos.  Avoid it.

Get on your team.  When everything else is all said and done, you are your own General Manager.

Thanks for reading.  Keep looking.
