SJ Brain-Pill: Stock Replacement Strategy–HUN call options. AMZN Proves SJ Right.

America’s                                            cast on to the concrete of the new tax law like a drunk ejected in a sprawl on to the sidewalk.  Ask any tax specialist–tax season is on and the game’s changed.  State and local deductions have been chopped by 60%, now firmly capped at $10,000.  That includes mortgage interest deduction.  The big house equals feds help pay tax plan is all different, much less friendly different.

Huntsman International(NYSE: HUN) is playing right into our plan.  We call that “fortunate,” not brilliant.  The SJ strike price stands at $31.00.  Current share price with 16 days remaining, $34.20, following its’ +2.76% move yesterday.  Since our “buy to open” call options purchase(11-06-17, $30.99) HUN has moved 10.32%.  Our $31.00 strike price calls are as of yesterday trading at $400.00.  Our cost basis $215.00 per contract(100 shares.)

Stockjaw is bidding its’ time.  With two weeks remaining on our HUN 1-19-18 calls traded for $400.00 a contract.  That’s with no real time remaining.  We are simply waiting to “exercise” the contract by buying the shares.  Why wait?  If HUN is hit by disaster in the next two weeks, we’ll still only own the calls.  We’d rather eat the $215.00 premium then ride a bomb.

AMZN–do you see it?  Where’s my goddamn discount?  Get the manager.

Prime Day 2017 was massive.  Just consider the jaw-dropping #s.  For the first time in human history one company sold more than $1 billion dollars worth of products/services in one day.    How many people need to eat the Amazon pill before the holdouts do?  Our doctor calmly informed us to “Down our medicine quickly, immediately, when it drops below $950.00.”  It did.  Did you buy?  If you did look below for your reward.

On July 11th StockJaw called–“AMZN, BUY below $950.00.”  AMZN opened that day at $993.00.  Forty-one days later AMZN hit our buy price.  Five weeks after that, on 9-26-17, it hit an intraday low of $931.75–the cheapest since our “BUY” call.  Which means we called 98.2% of the discount for AMZN that the market provided.

Amazon’s now $1156.16.  If purchased at our $950.00 call, it translates into a 21.5% move in eight weeks.  As of now(1-03-18) the gain is 25%.  Amazon’a fastest grow is assuredly past, but we feel AMZN will only win, win, win, in the coming few years.
