We strongly believe that with effort, people are more than capable of managing and investing their own money. No one cares more than you. The sum one has is not the point. Our goal is to deploy well what we have.
The first hurdle: Retail investors are customers. “Client” just sounds better. The keepers of the gate–“financial representatives”–are rarely “fiduciaries.” That means you’re on your own. In reality, you always are.
Investing is very big business. Big business wants your money. Big business protects itself, almost always at your literal expense. No? Why aren’t all fund fees and charges collected right up front in the prospectus? Why is the CFPB now a shadow?
STOCKjAW harbors no love for those willing to take advantage of others. Doing so with others’ retirement hopes is unforgivable. Such happens everyday. It happened to us. We haven’t forgotten. We’ve been through the retail investing goat rodeo. We paid the price. We know exactly how to help.
